Panhandle Home Health Announces New Administrator

Local Home Health Agency Under New Leadership

[January 4, 2006] Martinsburg, West Virginia – Panhandle Home Health, Inc. (PHH) has been providing home health care services to residents of the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia for nearly thirty years.  Lisa Bivens, RN, CHPN has been on staff for twenty-one of those years and will serve as their new Administrator, effective January 2, 2006.  

“When [current Administrator] Debbie Henry announced her retirement, the board began a search for her replacement.  Lisa was quickly identified as a natural fit for this position,” stated Jim Rodgers, Chairman of the Panhandle Home Health Board of Directors.  “Debbie has done a stellar job as our Administrator and leader.  We all join in wishing Debbie well.  The Board is confident that Lisa will continue to guide Panhandle Home Health with the same strong commitment to excellence and success that was so carefully nurtured by Debbie.”

Mrs. Bivens graduated from Shepherd University in 1983 with an Associate of Science Degree.  She began with Panhandle Home Health in 1984 as a staff nurse and then assumed the role of Home Health Intake Coordinator.  She has served as the agency’s Assistant Director of Clinical Services for fifteen years.  She is a certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, Home Care Diagnosis Coding Specialist, and a Clinical OASIS Specialist.

“Panhandle Home Health is a great organization with a wonderful staff,” stated Bivens.  “Debbie will be missed tremendously.  Although it will be an adjustment, I am excited for the opportunity to work with such a fine group of people in this new role.”
