Panhandle Home Health Awards Scholarship - Nursing major at James Rumsey Technical is recipient

Martinsburg, West Virginia - Panhandle Home Health, a local home health care agency, is pleased to announce that Angela Mason, a student in the Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program at James Rumsey Technical Institute, has been awarded one of their scholarships this semester.

"This is the first time we have given out scholarships," stated Lisa Bivens, RN, Administrator of Panhandle Home Health. "We feel it is important to support local student and their educational endeavors and hope to provide more scholarships in the future."

Angela Mason started her nursing career in Maryland in 1997, but stopped working to stay home with her daughter. "I went the CNA route," stated Mason. She has since moved to Martinsburg and enrolled in James Rumsey's LPN program. Mason plans to stay in geriatrics until she receives her RN. "I would like to be a traveling nurse and ultimately teach," she stated.  "Angela is ranked number one in her class," stated Vicki Jenkins, Director and Principal of James Rumsey Technical Institute. "In such a competitive field, she gives a standout performance. We are happy to see her hard work pay off."
