Nurses, 3 Physical Therapists, 4 Physical Therapy Assistants, 1 Occupational Therapist, 1 Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant, 1 Speech Therapist, 1 Medical Social Worker, 1 Registered Dietitian and 3 Certified Home Health Aides.<\/p><p>Specialty services, through certified staff, include: Wound Care Specialists, Wound Care Certified Nurses, Wound Ostomy Specialists, Diabetic Wound Specialists, Geriatric Certification and Hospice and Palliative Care Certification.<\/p><p>The average daily census ranges from 130-145. Patients with needs beyond what Panhandle Home Health can provide will be declined so that an appropriate referral can be made to another home health agency.<\/p><p>Upon referral or discharge from an inpatient facility, patients are normally seen within 24-48 hours (72 for Friday referrals, unless the needs require otherwise) or when the physician has ordered home health services to begin for a specific reason. Panhandle Home Health Intake Nurses will provide a start of care date to the discharge planner (or other personnel) upon receipt of the referral. Referral sources will be informed of any delays in service related to any specific discipline needed by the patient so that an appropriate referral can be made to another home health agency.<\/p><p>Patients in areas that have been deemed to be unsafe may not be seen after hours or those referrals may be declined.
